Instructor Rating
A “C” Category Instructor Rating after the conclusion of your CPL will enable you to work for a training organization where you will provide flight training and ground theory to those working towards their PPL and CPL licences. Students must complete the following elements as part of the instructor rating course:
NZ CAA Approved Instructional Techniques Course (four-day course)
Basic Flight Instructional Technique (25 hours dual, 1-hour spinning instruction)
Preflight Briefings.
Aerodynamics
You are required to have 150 hours of PIC to be eligible for the rating.
